Ibanez Japan website

Is it just me or is it that they haven't updated it in so long that there's no reason to look at it anymore? The last update was in March and there hasn't been a single update since. I remember I griped about this last year but it didn't take them THIS long to update it to prepare for the 2013 models, what could possibly be the reason for this delay? Are they going to do like what they did for the North American market and give us 655s?

Try not to think of a website like its a facebook account and then it won't seem such a drama that they've not updated the site in a whole three months. It used to get updated about once a year, six months after the print catalogue came out!

That must have been crazy, waiting to see what the Japanese market was gonna have. The tokyo guitar show is at the end of the month but Ibanez isn't displaying anything there so I'm wondering what they're waiting for. The only thing I can think of is that the catalog is getting a total revamp like the US market got this year.

It wasn't crazy really, in fact, it was completely normal. The crazy thing is how instantaneous people expect the internet to be these days.

Another thing that's crazy is how conservative of a company Hoshino is, when you consider their reputation as a manufacturer of rock and metal guitars.

I think the main issue is the lack of effort they put into the home market. recently I've seen more ads in guitar mags but before it was almost non-existent. Ibanez could really become super popular here because many Japanese people have short fingers and cant hold the baseball necks of Fender or Gibson. I was told some time ago that Ibanez was popular with girls because of that reason... Why won't they try to take that market? they could easily win over people if they just marketed correctly. Blah.
