Ibanez JMPs and EBPetrucci's

This has been bugging me for quite a while now:

What's the difference between the Ibanez Petrucci's and the ErnieBall Petrucci's necks? From what i can tell, the ErnieBalls look more like a C shaped neck whereas the Ibanez necks look a bit like a JEM's neck but not as wide at the 1st fret.

It doesn't help that EB do their specs in inches and Ibanez in mm, but oh well.

Can anyone that has both guitars describe the difference between the two guitar's necks? Also, are the control layouts (volume/tone and 3way positionning) around the same spacing on the Ibanez's compared to the Ernieballs.

And lastly, is it hard to get to the volume controll and wack it off when playing the Ibanez's? I've looked at pictures of the Ibanez JMPs and it looks asif when you're going to mute the guitar (turn the volume pot to 0), you may scrape the tone control. Any descriptions'd be great!
