Re: Ibanez JPM?

all JPM's feel the same, it's only a finish matter (except the 90HAM which has Ebony).
I personnaly prefer my JPMs a lot to my JEM7VWH, but it's down to personnal tastes...

+1
JPM kicks JEM's ass. I mean- it's a matter of taste, but I have never found better feeling neck than on my JPM P4. It's 1998 model- I had almost every JEM and any other neck felt as good as JPM's. Tone is also beautiful, cutting on steves special and very "flute like" on air norton. I love it. Very light guitar , ergononic in minute detail. You'll love it

Actually, there are some minor differences which can matter. My P1 and P3 had gloss finishes on the back of the necks, which I didn't like. My 90th has a satin-like finish which I really enjoy and that's one of the reasons why that guitar is still with me.

Re: Ibanez JPM?

Why did Petrucci leave Ibanez? Or did Ibanez ditch him? And why?

I guess it was because Petrucci wasn't satisfied working with Ibanez. Ibanez gave him only modified RG and I guess Petrucci wanted something more radical and also because John wanted a signature 7-string but Ibanez refused to produce 7-string Petrucci model.

Modded RG? A Jem is just that though and Stevie is happy with that.

Re: Ibanez JPM?

So why did he leave then? If I can ask without any arrogance back.

An RG is a simplified Jem not the other way around, read the Ibanez history.

How dare you be so rude. I know that, I know more than you, but they are still the same. But still the same thing
