ibanez and lag :P

hey all :P

ive been looking at the lag arkane series
and they look quite nice aha :P
from what i can see they have a similar neck bolt layout to ibanez's AANJ
does anyone know if the necks can be swapped? or at least if an ibanez neck will fit in an arkane body (200/500 series )
and also will an orginal edge fit in without mods to the current route
or will i have to mod
thanks all

Re: ibanez and lag :P

I've never heard of LAG and upon googlizing, I see they're a British company. Perhaps it would be better to ask them instead of us? I seriously doubt an Ibanez neck would fit on another companies body anyway.

LAG are French, not British. They were bloody hard to find here in the UK up until about two years ago.

If you want to do all these mods...you might as well also straight go for a higher-end Arkane. Mighty fine instruments with wonderful necks.

LOL really. All else there is is the pups and body. If you like their pups that is easily fixed. And I have no idea about LAG but I doubt they use any special wood that ibanez doesnt for the body. Just buy an Ibanez and save yourself the trouble of moding

Re: ibanez and lag :P

Funny thing, I just discovered LAG's new Stephan Forte model (french shredder) which I look-wise dig very much. IMHO the french guys from LAG build beautiful guitars. I will definitely check those out at Musikmesse in March. Just have a look at the SFII model ...

FYI: Made in Korea, MSRP is 1399 Euros

Re: ibanez and lag :P

Slightly off subject but my mate drums in a band and the guitarist uses lag guitars think he's endorsed or something as he had 2 of them given em, really nice sounding guitars and well built.
