Ibanez and Mesa MKIV

I have been playing this combo forever, Ibby Guitars and Boogie MK's. I am currently using a MKIV which Is my favorite Mesa. I used to own a IIC, and I think the IV does the sound pretty well. The 5 however looks sick. Anyone unloading there current rig to fund the MKV? I am not selling my IV and I am not going to unload any of my guitars, but man I have some serious GAS.

Guys on the Boogie Board said that the waiting period to get a MKV is 60-90 days. Before even considering buying one, I'd first try to actually play one.

I admit the 5 looks great, but I'm sticking with my Mark IV. I like it, and the MKV just has a few more knobs and switches added. I can't justify spending that amount of money to get the IIC+ and IV sound, when just one will do.

I also play Ibanez's through a Mark IV btw.

Re: Ibanez and Mesa MKIV

I may have posted this in the wrong spot, sorry. I agree with what you said, but just from the tone coming out of a crappy camera speaker off of youtube, I was pretty impressed. Also remember, The MKIV was the same price as the V is reported to be. If the IV didn't share the Mid and Bass on 1 and 2 it would be a perfect amp for me. I just make up for it with a BB pre and 10 band eq in the loop.
