Ibanez Neck Question
What are those humps that some Ibanez guitars have near the headstock? Is that another method of attaching a spliced headstock? Also, do prestige Ibanez necks have integral headstock construction? Thanks in advance.

So the necks with a volute have integral headstock construction? How come necks with a scarf joint make for a stronger neck overall? Stronger than a neck with a volute? Is the volute to add strength?
