Other than soundwise,,,that's a pretty vague comparison. Those guitars are WAY different. I used to have a Peavey Wolfgang (no special,,the real deal) and it sounded absolutely fabulous through any amp, but had the playability of a Les Paul. Which is good if you prefer that like a lot of people do. Many people can do amazing things on Pauls. Me, I can't play a Les Paul very well. The Wolfgang, even apparently the new one as far as I can tell by looking ,,,,lets just say the upper area from like the 15th fret up, is a whole new ballgame on a guitar like that when compared to an Ibanez. My wolfgang felt very restricting in that sense. I still have my Les Paul,,,well, cuz it is a Les Paul ,,,but the Wolfgang is long gone. I figured if I was gonna have one guitar that makes me uncomfortable, one Les Paul is all I need. Getting my first Ibanez Jem made it hard to go back to limiting necks.

No I haven't checked them out soundwise. I do have an EBMM Axis copy that I built with a warmoth neck of the same spec as the Axis except stainless steel frets and it is amazing. The fat Wolfgang profile neck is very easy to play and I don't find it limiting at all.

Having smaller hands, I'm just genetically more at home on a nice, thin Ibanez neck! My hands actually ache a bit now after playing the fatter necks, like on my Les Paul or N4. It's all such a personal thing. I wish I was more at home on the fatter necks...... I sold my new Jackson SL2H last spring because it was really quite thick/round up by the nut, and my tendons would ache. I really miss the guitar, but in the end, it was just wrong for me. I guess that the point I was trying to make is : make sure that you get a feel for the necks on these first, as they are probably worlds apart.
