Ibanez Prestige SV5470F pickups replacement

Hi..!

Im planing to get the Ibanez Prestige SV5470F,
but i want to change Those Stock H-S-H pups...

Mahogany Body/Flame maple top (prefered Wood configuration)
Rosewood fingerboard
Bridge: SynchroniZR bridge w/ZPS-FX (Im fan of tremolo use)

Music Style: Great cleans, All Rock Styles, some metal..
I want full versatility pups, from great super cleans
with effects to high gain with definition, warmth, harmonics,
you understand....

Amp Using: Line 6 Spider valve 212 MKII
(6L6GC class AB tubes, Celestion V-30 Speakers)
with great versatile SoundinG.

From Dimarzio Pickup Picker: Evo 2 or D Activator Bridge
Chopper or Virtual Vintage Heavy blues2 Middle
Air Norton Neck

From Seymour Duncan Tone Wizard: SH-14 Custom 5 Bridge
SSL-1 or SSL-2 Middle
SH-2 Jazz Neck

From both maufacturers, it suits all styles. But I need
more of a experienced guys with all this pickups with
mahogany maple top body. i have also readed in many forums
that sd sh-14 custom 5 is better than jb in mahogany..
I need recomendations choosing the right H-S-H configuration
pickups. Whats your choice..? Sorry my english. xD Thanks...

Re: Ibanez Prestige SV5470F pickups replacement

Hi there,

I put in an EVO2 into my S670FM, which is mahagony/maple top as well. I play mostly Rock/Hard Rock and I am absolutely happy with it. It opens up the overall guitar sound but still is warm sounding with LOTS of harmonics. It also splits well for some clean or crunchy in between sounds.

I kept th stock middle and neck pickup, because I like them and the suit to the EVO2 absolutely fine.

Good luck,
Vince
