Ibanez RG???

Perhaps a customized RG450 or RG470?

It's got the lo-TRS on it, so I'm pretty sure, if nothing else, that it doesn't belong in this thread!

Ibanez RG???

Hmm...the model number shows it was made in the Japanese factory.

My personal guess: *RG550 that someone swapped the Edge trem out and gave you a TRS or similar floyd clone. *Look at the routing around the tremelo in the closeup pic. *There's a lot of space. *Looks like it was routed for an Edge and someone took it out before they sold it.

It's definitely not an RG550 body. The pickguard is mounted over front mounted hardware, look at the switch, and that is not an Edge rout.

Best guess? It's an RG470 with replaced hardware, and an added pickguard.. The bridge has 'Washburn' written on the side..

I'd say it's a 570 that's been modded, the route looks like an edge route to me! *it's a rear route body, it could be direct mount pickups, that's not hard to change to, and the pickguard of course is easy to change. *Just a crap bridge on a good guitar

I still doubt it's an RG5xx body. If you look closely in the pictures, you can see the 'football' shaped jackplate that the lower line comes with.

The thing with the rout, is that the Edge rout is all perpendicular lines, there are no slanted lines. The rout on that guitar has the slanted mid-point TRS's come with.. The back of the rout cavity is also too rounded off to be the Edge.. Look at the Edge rout on this guitar: http://www.jemsite.com/usa/gallery/u...c/lc_nt_02.jpg .. Definitely not the same rout as the white one above.

IMO, these all add up to that being an RG470 or lower body..

I'll give you full points for the jackplate, I never noticed that, but I've got 2 guitars with Edge routes, that are slanted, and rounded like that, both from 89, so who knows

Ibanez RG???

That is a very early RG-4xx model. It was made in the Japan factory prior to the line being moved to Asia. I did a setup on a co-worker's RG-470 and it also had the fxxxxxxx number on the headstock. The mods would lead me to believe that this is a RG-450 with the humbuckers directly mounted.

A shot of the back of the guitar would almost confirm this.

It is NOT a RG-5xx. No way!!

RG470s are made in Japan and have been for around 6 years (starting in the 96/97 model years)
RG450s are *FRONT ROUTED* this guitar is not (note the body visible around the pickup selector)

This is 470.

Hmmmmm, I thought so too Rich, but I have to agree with Toshiro, it looks like it says Washburn on the bridge. *

No matter, do you like the guitar? if so, GREAT!!! If not, SELL IT!!!! LOL

Trem says "Ibanez", you have to look upside down.

If its got a TRS on it, ignore it if you like the better stuff. I won't fool with anything with a TRS.
