Re: ibanez rg Korea

Sure looks like a 550 (pickguard, H/S/H pickup arrangement). I can't tell what bridge it has from the picture, but if it's a TRS 101, it's not a 550, but a lower model. 550s weren't made in Korea either, just in Japan.

Looking at the '91 catalogs (http://www.ibanezrules.com/catalogs/us/1991/index.htm), the RG500 series was the lowest Ibanez made though...

Re: ibanez rg Korea

It would be an old school RG350 I'd imagine.

Re: ibanez rg Korea

Looks like it's half RG and half EX. Not aware of any model like that in the US, but Europe and Japan got some models that we didn't get.

Re: ibanez rg Korea

has been advertised as a rg 350 bk. I was keen to buy it as it has 22 frets (never liked the 24 ones for some reasons..)

Re: ibanez rg Korea

It's an oldschool RG350 - I'm not sure where they were sold but I don't think this is from a US catalog.

EDIT: Here's the 1990 EU Catalog:

EDIT AGAIN: Oops - you said a 1991:

http://www.ibanez.co.jp/anniversary/...t_id=190&now=7

Re: ibanez rg Korea

The catalog states the body made of jelutong. Now,didn't received the guitar yet,but I'm curios how it will sound. The only bit of info on the net about Jelutong is that Tyler use it in his guitars and it gives a dark sound.Tyler calls it Mamywo.(Malaysian Mystery Wood :-0 )

Re: ibanez rg Korea

Don't get any pre-conceived notions how it will sound. Just play it and decide if you like the sound or not...
