Talking Ibanez RG Prestige 1570Mrb Modifications

Hey believe some of you guys have aquired the 1570MRB prestige. For me i've just got the 2005 team J-craft model. i'm looking forward to mod my axe but i still have many things left unsettled.

1)My edge pro doesnt stay in tune after a couple of whammys...is this normal? it was set-up and inspected by the shop.. guess a run at the tech's should fix this up

2) Stupidly true...i prefer a maple neck. I guess its more exciting to look at and i am looking to procure a maple prestige neck..and maybe get some inlays done on it...(1570mrb might end up lookin like a Jem777BFP)

3)I've also obtained 2 blue dimarzio pickups...namely Paf pro and Super Distortion..the latter as a bridge pickup. Oh and also a green Paf Pro which i might consider putting with one of them blue...though the colours might clash

4)Knobs..was lookin to get some coloured ones..but i dun really see any fitting the look..

Guys Feel free to give your comments

I would say keep the look as it is. I'd suggest you change the pickup covers to black instead of blue.

Re: Ibanez RG Prestige 1570Mrb Modifications

Reading the problem with your trem, dince the edge pro is Ibanez's best trem it should stay in tune even after heavy abuse. Check out the tech section at Ibanez Rules (banner above) for what could be causing this. It could mean you need the locking stud mod, the strings haven't been streched or the knife edges are to fat etc.

Regards

Andrť
