Re: The Ibanez RG1527z

I tried a 1527 and didnt like the feel of the neck. Then I came across
a Jackson COW and was blown away by the neck and fret work, very
easy to play. I would have bought it but its a no trem, 1 PU guitar.
So on a gamble I went ahead and ordered a Jackson SLAT 7.
The neck is very similar to the COW but it also has dual EMGS and a Floyd
Rose. For a couple hundred $$$ mor than the 1527. And you know the
PU's will be lacking on the 1527 as well.

Re: The Ibanez RG1527z

I don't think there's any tuning issues with the Edge Zero tremolo bridge.

And since you've played the RG7321 and you think the guitar is nice, wait 'till you feel the RG1527's neck. You'll never look back

My 2cents.

EDIT: And yeah, the pickups of the RG1527 are just average; they don't sound that bad, but you might wanna swap them out in the future. But, the neck is ace.

Re: The Ibanez RG1527z

I'm with aj here!

I own the edge pro 1527. The neck is fantastic. I know that this is kinda up to your personal taste (I like natural/satin necks more than the finished ones), but since you liked the 7321 neck, you're gonna love this one.

I don't know if edge zero is more stable, but I haven't read about tuning issues. If your guitar is set up correctly, I think that you're gonna be ok!

The pickups are the only "issue" IMO. I swapped mine and I think most owners have done so too. They're not bad. They're just ok (and kinda muddy to my ears). Nothing that can't be fixed though.

Try one and see for yourself!

Good luck!

Re: The Ibanez RG1527z

i have the rg1527 and love it to pieces. every body always says the pickups suck but that doesnt matter at all. you dont like em? change em. that simple. and the rest of the guitar is great, even for a basswood guitar. and i think the edge zero is ugly as hell but its a truely great trem. i say go for it. theres nothing on that guitar that isnt quality
