Cool Ibanez rg1570 + 57'gibson classic pickup

Hello guys,
I recently bought an ibanez rg1570 team J craft. it's an amazing guitar, it really has an awesome action in play. However, i knew before i make the purchase that i 'll need to change the stock pickups. Its not that theya re bad, i managed to generate very warm nice tones with them, but i want to put something with more quality, something unique.

I like the versatility of the guitar and i don't want to "break" that skill of it. I play almost everything except hardcore metal. I like to play blues and classic rock hard rock and a little of bob marley stuff. I LOVE the tone of Gary Moore i also like the tone of metallica acdc bb-king and mark knopfler.

I exclude dimarzio evolution pickups pack bacause i think that they are metal picks. So, i finally came up this the following pickups set and i want you opinion suggestion if they will fit nicely to the ibanez basswood material. I want a really worm tone that in any minute it can change the most powerfull one.

Neck--> Gibson 57' classic plus (untopped) "the link in thomanns site is /gibson_p57_classic_plus_bl.htm"
Middle --> Dimarzio air norton virtual blues "/dimarzio_dp402_virtual_vintage_blues_wh.htm"
Bridge--> Dimarzio Paf 36th anniversary "/dimarzio_dp223bc_paf_36th_anniversary.htm"

what do you think?
I play on a Vox valvetronix VT100.
thank you guys!
P.S. i like the emgs pickups but they don't fit to ibanez body...and i dont want to make permanent changes!

Re: Ibanez rg1570 + 57'gibson classic pickup

Id go with a breed in the bridge pickup, but thats just me

Air norton probably suits your style better in the neck as well, those 57's are pretty hot arent they?? Forgive me if Im talkin out my butt

The best part of the breed is the worst part for me. I HHHAAATTTEEEDDD how it sounded distorted (most of my playing), but for a bridge pickup, it had a fantastic clean tone, on par with an air norton imo.

hell yeah they are... i was thinking about the breed in the neck position instead of gibson. or better a paf II pro.

well seeing as you dont play with much distortion (seemingly anyway) you want a higher output neck and lower output with higher mids in the bridge.

I know you want uniqueness here, but theres a reason Tonezone/air norton and pafpro/pafpro as such favored combos lol.

Those 57 Classics sound awesome in the LP Traditional. I wondered what they would sound like in an Ibanez.

You don't need to make permanent alterations to fit EMGs either.

PAF Pros would be awesome in both positions for your styles.

EMG 6 string pickups fit without mods. and that sounds like a pretty cool combo.

but i bet the tone zone/true velvet/air norton combo would suite you most.

Re: Ibanez rg1570 + 57'gibson classic pickup

After two months of searching and hearing to different guitars and pickups i finally came out with this option:

Neck --> GIBSON P-57 CLASSIC VINTAGE BK , /gibson_57classic_humbucker.htm"
Middle --> SEYMOUR DUNCAN ANTIQUITY II SS RW/RP , /seymour_duncan_antiquity_ii_ss_rwrp.htm"
Bridge --> SEYMOUR DUNCAN STB-4 BLK , /seymour_duncan_stb4bk.htm"

I was wondering though if anyone can help me with the middle pickup. Do you know if this pickup will be suitable for middle/neck and middle/bridge position?
Thank you again guys!

yes i have to say that it was a good combination. i only managed to listen to the tone zone/true velvet. the bridge pickup was something else on the guitar i listed to. the whole tone zone/true velvet/air norton is on youtube but you cannot understand much and for sure it's not what you will get with your equipment. anyway still this combination didn't make the "click" to my ear.
Thank you very much though!

I don't know how the '57 would resonate in the basswood either! Most Gibsons are made of mahogany, a SIGNIFICANTLY heavier body, in my eyes... and much darker wood.

I'd go for the Paf Pro x 2 combo for the neck and bridge. Not sure about the middle. I'd opt for that combo on my RG517, but I've got no cash.
