Ibanez RG1570CA

Question about an Ibanez RG1570CA for $950 (new). Is this a good price and this one has the Edge Pro not Edge Zero bridge.

Awesome price for this new, I think. I like Edge Pro better than EZ myself.

This was markdown because it has the old Edge Pro.

If its new old stock and the dealer really wants to move it they might be willing to go even less. I'd ask, never hurts to try. I remember just a few years back they were new out of the box for $899. Crazy how the economy has sucked and the prices have skyrocketed on some of this stuff.

Yes, it is NOS 2010. I'll try to haggle the price. I'm debating of getting it new or used at $450.

Check Rich's site out in the used section. I know I've seen one or two in there recently. I think he also has em new at a clearance price. You know you can trust anything he has up for sale.

Personally, I would save the money and go used, unless it is trashed.

Crazy to think that I bought mine new in '07 for $750 + tax with a case.
I can't believe I said $950 is an 'awesome price' but I guess such are the realities of the exchange rate. :P

Re: Ibanez RG1570CA

That isn't a 1570CA, it is a 1570MRR. Same guitar, different color. Hard to tell from the picture, but if the condition is good, go for it. Does it come with the TJC case?

Re: Ibanez RG1570CA

You are right, the used is not a 1570CA, I was referring to a NOS as 1570CA. I'm going to go take a look at the guitar tomorrow.

Re: Ibanez RG1570CA

I should add the finish on my RG1570MRR is lots better than stuff I've seen lately on RG15XX's and even RG25XX and RG35XX guitars. Lots of late model RG's on the bay seem rife with paint chips from crap adhesion.
As of today $1 USD = 78.46 JPY. I guess this explains a lot. I wonder if we'll see Premium quality exceed Prestige qualtiy?
Used model Prestige's aren't bad if you can tell the owner cared for them well. I'd look for 03-06 models myself. Those CA's might be pretty good though as I think a lot of them were cranked out before this whole economic mess began. Rich probably has a few good ones in his inventory I'm betting.
