Ibanez RG550 - RG2550z

Hi guys.
I bet there are alot of threads about pickguards here but I just wanna be sure.
Will an RG550 pickguard fit on a 2550z ?
Are there any subtle differences between the pickguards ?

I'm getting the 2550z pretty soon but I really find the pickguard ugly.
Here's how it should look after some modding :

Gotta love tasteles use of colours huh ?

I'm not 100% sure but I think it will fit with some minor modification, specifically around the trem area.

Re: Ibanez RG550 - RG2550z

I just compared them to each other and the tremolo are doesn't differ but the RG550 has a much narrower pickguard at the horns and the tone.
Screw placement seems to be identical though so I guess it shouldn't be a big problem.
I do liek the RG550 much more

Me too. The reason why is I don't like sharktooth inlays. 550 kicks ass, especially with a pro setup.
