Ibanez RG821 - How to remove Tight End-R bridge?

Hi guys,

I am new here and got a question regarding a Ibanez RG821. How can I remove the Tight End-R bridge? I already removed the 6 screws that attach the bridge to the body, but it doesn't get losse.
Problem is the guitar hums and I saw that the wire from the bridge to the volume pot ground is missing.

Thanks for your help!

Kind regards,

Dominik

If I were you and the guitar was new, I'd send it for warranty.

Yes but it is quite an easy fix, well except getting the bridge off

I get your point but remember that the cost of warranty is included in the price of the guitar, so why would you want to do it yourself if you've paid someone else to do it?

Because then he's not going to have the guitar for an undetermined amount of time while whoever attaches a ground wire. If he can just fix it himself, he won't have to deal with that.

Re: Ibanez RG821 - How to remove Tight End-R bridge?

I would try wiggling it out of place. It probably is stuck in there. You might wanna try inserting a long thin object through the hole (in the cavity) where the ground wire is supposed to come out, and try to poke the bridge from the underside, if you know what I mean. But this will work only if the ground wire hole is a straight hole (which it probably is).

Thanks for the input. Will try it when I get home.

Exactly what he said
It's just an easy fix, and I don't want to ship it and wait some time to get it. I also think the dealer doesn't do it by himself, but sends it back, so that takes even longer.
