Ibanez rga121 or rga321 owners question

Hey everyone,

I recently purchased a RGA121 Ruby Sparkle. I noticed the Gibraltar plus bridge posts are slightly angled forward. I took the strings off and even when just putting the posts in, they do have a bit of play, not a super tight fit.

Any other owners notice this? Any suggestions to make it a tighter fit? Tape around the threads on the posts?

Thanks!
Sheldon

Re: Ibanez rga121 or rga321 owners question

The posts on my RGA121 are slightly angled forward too, I think that's the norm. I haven't had all of my strings off in a while so I don't remember if there was any play in the posts, but under full string tension they're rock solid.
Are yours loose enough that they're causing intonation issues?

Mine are forward too. I posted about this when I bought it about five years ago and I believe Rich replied that it is normal.

Thanks for the feedback! I took the strings off right away when I got it per they were very old and wanted to see if maybe the bushings were loose (which they are not) I know as long as it intonates that it's not a big deal, but it still seems weird that the bridge posts/screws are that loose fitting.
