Also, my other guitars are an Epiphone Les Paul Custom, and a Jackson KE3. The amps i have are a Randall RH200 with a Randall Quad and a Line 6 Spider III 75

I have the rg 350dxz. I love it. Great guitar. The only gripe I have with it are the pickups. Would definately swap them out if you are playing heavy metal. It can do it with the stock pups but eventually you will want them out.

Re: Ibanez RGA72TQM or RG350DX?

Both guitars could use a swap in pickups and they both play nicely once they have had a good setup. I would say the Rg350 looks nicer in my opinion and has the single coli if you wanna get in some stratastic sounds. And with the cheaper price tag i would go for the Rg350 and have some leftover cash for a good setup and some new pickups. However this is just my opinion just do what suits you best

I'm with Fuzz on this one. RG350's can be great guitars with the right pickups and setup. I had a RG370 and recorded some of my first songs with it. The Edge bridge finally gave up the ghost.

I say, run away from Edge III at all costs from all the trouble I've heard people have with them. I have the RG350EXZ (black one). I put evos in it and it sounds like a dream. I think I need to have the frets rounded a bit but it plays great. Right now I have mine in D tuning but I'm wondering if I should just go back to standard with it.

Re: Ibanez RGA72TQM or RG350DX?

The RG350 DX cannot possible have an Edge II on it. The Edge II only ever came on one guitar. A Vinnie Moore signature.

The 350DX/Z came with four different trems throughout the years. You REALLY need to know the year before this decision can be made.

A 350 with an EZ-II....... hands down winner.
With a Lo-TRSII? a strong runner up.
With an EdgeIII- Either guitar is equal as far as quality
With an Edge-ProII..... a POS that should be avoided at all costs.
