Ibanez RX750

I bought a RX750 in 1994. Been in its flight case 99% of the time. Played only a couple of times. What does anyone reckon it's worth? I know there were only a few made in 94.

Re: Ibanez RX750

You and me are the only people in the known universe that own one. Well, OK, maybe there are a few others.

For the masses -- these are fabulous, Japanese-made guitars with mahogany/padauk bodies, AANJ, good trems, great necks and good fretwork. Basically they're the only Prestige quality member of the lowly RX family, and were probably released to lend a little cred to that line when it was first introduced.

Anyway, the only one I've ever seen on Ebay appeared about a year ago. I think they were asking around $600-$700 for it and didn't get it. I'm pretty sure the auction ended without a sale. So... I don't know what it would bring in the UK, but I'd consider starting an auction at $450-500 and seeing what happens.

Good luck.

Re: Ibanez RX750

Didn't know there was such thing as an RX750. Anything like an RT650? I'd be curious to see some pics.

Re: Ibanez RX750

Have a look at the online "General Catalog for USA" from 94:

http://www.ibanez.co.jp/anniversary/list.php?era=90&p=2

(see image No. 7)

The RX650 and RX750 were both very similar to the RT's of the year before. Same basic body shape, HSH, vintage style trems, etc. The main differences were the #frets (24 in RT vs 22 in RX) and the body woods (RTs were all alder, whereas the RXs were mahog/padauk for the RX750 and maple for the RX650).

Re: Ibanez RX750

By the way, I've heard these are pretty rare. Anyone have an idea how many were ever made?
