Ibanez STW 6/7 Doubleneck
Ibanez made a few of this back in '99. Any one know how much these guitars might be worth ?
This was a blurb..
July 24, 1999 - Along with two brand new 7-strings, Ibanez is also showing a very Limited Edition 6/7 Double Neck at the Nashville NAMM show, that is the Ibanez STW 6/7 Doubleneck Guitar. "This is our first double neck since the early 80's when we had the Studio and Artist 6 and 12 string double necks," said Masashi Inoue of the Ibanez Electric Guitar Divsion. "The S mahogany body is perfect for a double neck. It's a lot more comfortable and lighter than the old Artist double neck--which was very heavy--but you've still got the sustain and warmth of mahogany."
This Ibanez STW 6/7 Doubleneck is one of the most incredible instruments Ibanez has ever created. Based on the super popular S series, this thing packs almost all of the "golden era" features that you'd hope for. Both necks are Wizard necks with bubinga stripes, 22 frets on bound rosewood fretboards with pearl oval dots, and bound headstocks with Gotoh machine heads. The 7 string is a hardtail with V7 and V8 humbuckers, master volume and a 3 way switch. The 6 string has an Edge tremolo system with bar, QM2, QMS1 and QM1 pickups with a 5 way switch, master volume and tone controls, and a 3 way mini toggle to switch between the necks.
At press time only 12 Ibanez STW 6/7 Doublenecks were allocated for the U.S. market. But now we supply custom service for the double neck, it will be 100% handmade by our highly skilled craftsman! Based on the original guitar but much lower priced, better email us now to get yours!
