Ibanez SZs on the used market

What do you guys think your average SZ520 would go for used?

I tried selling mine, with duncan JB/Jazz set and qpart knobs for like $450 shipped, but no one was interested, thats on like 10 diff forums, ****, etc.. Grr lol

What do you guys think is a fair price for a SZ520? And do you think it would be better if I removed the Duncans and just sold the SZ520 stock for like, 350, then the duncans for 100? I dont really wanna have to do that cause i hate rewiring guitars but it looks like I have to =[

On this link you can see what others paid for it: http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/revie.../ibanez/sz520/

You could always announce it in separate "pieces" on the bay, since there's always a great demand for necks, bodies, pickups and etc.

Re: Ibanez SZs on the used market

I don't know about US prices much, but in the UK I have always found that they hold their value pretty well. Not amazingly so, but they do hold a good chunk of their value on the "used" market. Especially if it is in good condition and is one the "rarer" colours too. There is always people looking for them as they are just nice, solid, workhorses.

Re: Ibanez SZs on the used market

Considering you are selling a mid-priced Korean guitar I think you'll find people aren't willing to fork out that much, regardless of what pickups you have in it. Maybe $350 and you'll sell it.

Re: Ibanez SZs on the used market

I paid $400 for mine new, so I wouldn't expect more than $250 used. I know they're more expensive now, but I still wouldn't expect a lot.
