The question asked "what would you like to see re-issued?" and I think those are the things I'd like to see from the old line. But yes I agree, I'd like to see a new take on the old line.

Say the Hot Rod graphic JS and maybe a couple more new Satch-approved graphics. And Swirls that aren't the original mixes, maybe a completely different colour pallet? that sort of thing.

I think as much as anything we old timers miss the "vibe" of 10 years ago as much as the actual colours/finishes themselves.

Tottaly agreed, that's why I consider *reissuing* a non issue. There are plenty of NEW models they could build that would find a heathy market, if and when they get the 2LE2B's [and inserts] back in the guitars.

PGM800, PGM 10th, definitely a JS6 and more colors to the JS1000 line!

Also would like to see a RGR580 SOL (mahogany body, no maple top) with some Dimarzio pickups and a fixed bridge (a cheaper PGM800?)

Don't reissue any old models.

There is virtual fantasy guitars being dreamed up on tihs forum all the time. It would be much nicer to see some of those being issued as production guitars instead of another run of something we've already seen many times.

Well if you're talking about new swirl colours, I wonder what it would look like if someone made a swirl out of several shades of blue, with blue pyramid inl...
(Suddenly a SWAT team burst through the door and beat Petie to death).

They just threw the door wide open on the same mess they had in 00' and 01', same mess, different door. The tuning instability on pullups is back with a vengence, and it's as bad, if not worse, than the worst of the 00' models.

Please have Japan get the bean counters off of their large haunches and calculate up the scenario of how many lost sales and lost customer confidence is going to impact future buisness because of their decision to save $1 on every guitar.
Shyte, is it really that bad Rich?

None of the stores around here yet have the new Edge Pro guitars so I have yet to try one out. But if they are really that bad (and no file or replacement is going to fix this, sadly) I'll not be buying a new guitar but be on the hunt for leftovers for my next purchase.

At least with the late 99, 00 and 01 guitars you can replace the studs and/or file the knives, not so when there's NO LOCK at all . . . and as you said, $1 a guitar? Add it to the list price, I'd gladly deal with a list price of $900 instead of $899, those "99" prices never fooled me anyway. :P (I know that's not "real world", but you get the point.

And keeping with topic, I'd like to see the RG 520 come back, with Cosmo Lo-Pro Edge (with locking studs) this time instead of the standard Edge.

Inexpensive, high quality guitars. (ie fixed bridge, single v8 would do...) Make it high quality, but strip down whatever's not necessary to reduce the price.
