Im well out of the gear loop these days and im after some information on one of my guitars, and if possible, a ballpark value, although this might be more difficult as im based in the UK??
Ive owned the guitar for around 10years now, and as far as i can remember from when i bought it, and what ive managed to find on the net would seem to confirm, that the guitar is a 1982 Ibanez Iceman II. Its in beautiful condition with the body and neck almost completely unmarked, although the fitted hardcase has a few knocks and dinks (better the case than the guitar
) Some of the hardware is showing signs of its age, ie the finish is wearing on the pick up cover, bridge etc. stoptail, tuners etc and i have fitted a Seymour Duncan Jeff Beck in the Bridge position. It plays like a dream and sounds awesome. From the information ive managed to find so far, it would appear the the volume and tone control knobs have also been changed from the original top hat style knobs, by a previous owner?
Am i right in thinking that the serial number suggests its a March 1982 produced Iceman, and from either the IC400CS or an IC50RB range??
Heres a few pics........
Id be most grateful for any information, advice or opinions that can be offered
