ID request!

Okay what is THIS?

http://komehyo.jp/disp/CSfGoodsPage_...OODS_NO=500464

R354GF? AANJ, hardtail, natural wood headstock, HSS. Any ideas to what this is?

EDIT:

It's a radius, any idea how rare this is?

Yeah, this thing must be rare. Really curious about it. If it's still there Sunday, gonna check it out.

Re: ID request!

Its not a radius in the traditional shape, but it is interesting.

Yeah, I've certainly never seen one of those in the flesh.
It's a pretty cool guitar. You can't really go wrong at that
asking price if it's structurally sound

Re: ID request!

Not a Radius I don't think. Looks like the older Roadstar RG's from the 80's.

Re: ID request!

Thats about as close as an Ibanez gets to being a strat... cool guitar! The back of the neck does look like the Roadstar. You should definitely play it just for kicks... those necks were awesome.

I just bought an RG580M, now something more rare appears? My wallet is crying already and I need a new amp

no, don't buy it, it's not worth it. you'll better get an amp first.

Re: ID request!

I use the zoom MS-70CDR in my fx loops right now.
just to add some short delay and some chorus in clean tone.
Things just getting better with the CDR.

I have the old 85 Ibanez stereo chorus and tc flashback for that. Also have hof reverb. Love the sound of reverb.

Re: ID request!

Sorry, I'm 4 weeks late... It's definitely a Radius. 1993 only. [RV470 in the U.S.] IbanezDaemon's link to the wiki is correct.

Only two colors. The catalog shows a blue, but it's purple like Agent 540's [and mine]. The other is Tobacco like in the catalogs, and like the photo of the backside for that one on sale. The green-ish front might be from sun fading, perhaps? You can sort of see the tobacco color on the fringes. [Definitely see the original color on the back of the body.]

The Viper neck is quite nice, and the alder body... well, I'm not savvy enough to tell the difference between alder and basswood.
