Ihsahn's custom Ibanez

Any more info on the guitar on the right? I kinda grew out of the super start thing, but I'm really liking the RG in that finish.

Wouldn't spend alot of money on it though...

Re: Ihsahn's custom Ibanez

They are both stock Prestige RGT's,the 'burnt' finish one you are refering to was i believe a limited run version. Beautiful guitars that can be found through most dealers for around $1900.00 usd. The quilt top version on the left is also availible in the US in transparent red spinal colour and transparent black in Japan. Beautiful guitars.

Re: Ihsahn's custom Ibanez

I remember watching a video interview with him and he said he was using the rgt3520. Said it was the best guitar he ever played. I saw acouple pics and vids with him playing the red rgt3520.

Re: Ihsahn's custom Ibanez

KINDA harsh? I would say that's completely uncalled for and downright rude. I personally don't like black metal as a genre, or Emperor or this particular musician...but there's no need for what jb wrote. The guy was just askin' for info on a particular guitar. Very immature and unnecessary response. Tisk tisk. Not to mention that it's stupid to ask who the person is, get an answer, and then say you "couldn't care less".

Everyone here needs to chill out. (Emphasis on "needs" )

too many knickers in a twist over a simple throwaway remark or two.

I'm perfectly relaxed. I don't need to be a foremost authority on etiquette to see that you were being disrespectful and rude. But at least you retracted the comment, that does say something. Anyway, no fightin' meant. On with the actual thread .

Re: Ihsahn's custom Ibanez

Personally I love Ihsahn's work as a musician, I think he's a musical genius and his influence on Extreme Metal will be evident for years and years to come. Sure he's not a super shredder or anything, but it's not ALWAYS about shredding......just most of the time LOL

Re: Ihsahn's custom Ibanez

Emperor are among my all-time favourites. I like all their material, most of all In The Nightside Eclipse which is an atmospheric work of art. They inspire my own music.

I'm glad to have seen them at two reunion shows.
