Interested in STM2, anyone play an STM1?

As title says, I'm definitely interested in the new Sam Totman signature. I've always wanted an Iceman, and this looks to be the one. I love everything about the guitar except one big thing, that Edge III down by the bridge area. I'm expecting that it's the same quality as ones found on much cheaper instruments. I'm also hard pressed to spend another couple hundred to get a Lo Pro or Edge Pro to replace it.

So I guess my question is this: Is it possible this trem is made out of better materials, built to better spec than other Edge III's? Also, anyone out there with an STM1 to share any input?

---

A little back story. I already have a guitar with an Edge III that I bought in '06, so I am aware of it's quality (and problems). I also have an Edge Zero in another guitar, so I know I need something more on par with that (quality wise, not playability before you Zero vs Pro people kick in ).

Also, search the bay for "Ibanez STM2," there are some awesome pics of this guitar.

I've been trying to find more information on this as well. But based on Ibanez.com's "Compare this model" option. It looks like the STM1 and STM2 are identical aside from the STM2 being blue and having a flamed maple top.

Yeah they look exactly the same spec wise. It's just no seems to of bought either one of them. I really don't want another Edge III if I'm going to be having the same problems with the saddle inserts. I can't get the inserts out of most of the saddles. It's just jacked up.
