J custom fretwork

so ive played on jc's a fair bit now, and i just cannot get over the fretwork, and how insanely well they play.
blew my prestige rg out of the water, and its tone zone bridge, air nortan neck with mahogany body is PERFECT!
what do they do to round off the frets that way?
and can you post pics of your fretwork on your rg's please?

J-Custom fretwork is very good indeed. Though late 90s/early 00s JCs did not have such fancy fretwork.

Re: J custom fretwork

The neck binding is a minor cosmetic addition and only noticable to the person playing it !! It has it's drawbacks too, the maple is unfinished for a few mm where it meets the rosewood and discolours easily. Also the side markers are harder to see in low light situations with maple binding. With abalone side markers (like my RG8570) it's even worse, they disappear completely !! The most important things are that it has a nice piece of rosewood on the fretboard and the quality of the figuring on the top, they do vary quite a bit.
