J-Custom maple binding and lemon oil

I intend to oil the fretboard of my RG 8470 using lemon oil.

I am afraid the oil could stain the natural maple binding.

So any advice or comments will be welcome.

Hi!

I also have a 8470... Don't be afraid, the lemon oil (I use it too) should not color the maple! Put it on a towel not on the fretboard directly and wipe it off! it should be OK... I used it for oiled maple necks and it was perfect!

Don't use lemon oil, it's not so good because it's acidic. Use Fret Doctor.
