Trem

Those Takeuchi trems are pretty weak compared to the regular Schaller 6 string trems. THe metal seems soft and easily dented as well as the black coating comes off quickly with use and time. Cheezy...

Some day I'll get rid of it and put something else in there.

Anyone know where you can buy the crop circle inlays?

Bryan, I may have a number for you that the shop I work for gets inlays from. They had some...post tomorrow nite if I can...

Hey Dex, how does having a trs7 trem on a Custom Jackson make anyone a fan of Dino/Fear Factory? Just curious...

Bryan, the crop circle inlays are an option on Jackson Custom guitars. I don't know if they'd sell the inlays or just a neck. Custom options are available through Jackson dealers or the website where you'll pay more: www.jacksonguitars.com.

I have one of these in sparkle blue. I threw an EMG in there and it sounds great. Great stage guitar, sings and looks cool. It takes a bti of getting used to the balance, but it's definitely worth it!

I finally got rid of the Takeuchi and put in its place a 7 string Floyd. Had to reroute the posts, but all worth it in the end! Thanks to Ed Laing for a kick ass job. I'll try and get some pics up here... this post is oooold!!!

Holy crap. One post in 2003 and he comes back to update it in 2009. Funniest thing ever. I don't think I have ever owned the same guitar that long.

Yeah and the only reason why I found this post again is because it links to our site all the time so I thought I'd check it out. Coincidentally had the gtr worked on finally. I'm not a big gtr buyer or collector, just stickin to what works!

If we had a choice we would have gone with the Floyd, but alas, there was no choice. Back then it was either the Ibanez, which Jackson wasn't about to use, or the Takeuchi, a big POS that I took too long to replace, but in the end it's all worth it. Here's a couple of pics:

Re: Jackson Crop Circle Inlays

I was under the impression that the Jackson Custom Shop would actually route a guitar for an Ibanez 7 string trem? But that is a kick ass guitar, no doubt
