Jackson Fusion Professional info

Bonjour,

I have recently bagged a superb Jackson Professional Fusion SS, it is simply superb, however I cannot find any catalogues for these guitars or definitive information regarding wood, pickups, whether it has a quartersawn neck etc.

Did find this page:

http://audiozone.dk/index-filer/jack...ofessional.php

But most of the sub pages don't work (especially the ones related to catalogues) and it doesn't list the pickups used in the Fusion SS...and looking at the trem it matches the design exactly of the JT-580 Takeuchi listed in that website but the website doesn't list it as being fitted to that model?

Jacksons website is no help as they don't seem interested in their old Japanese models, can anyone help?

If this link doesn't work, It's supposed to be the 1992 jackson charvel catalog

Re: Jackson Fusion Professional info

That was hugely informative thanks!

Predictably my exact guitar (Fusion SS) is not listed in fact no Fusion of its type and colour is in that catalogue which seems to suggest it really REALLY was only in the Japanese market!

My Fusion SS has no tone control and a "dual blade" style humbucker, but I have no reason to doubt the woods listed in the catalogue you kindly posted the link too would be any different

Amusingly I have managed to buy another Fusion SS in a lovely blue and its exactly the same as my candy red one can't wait for it to be delivered - joy!

Many thanks

Re: Jackson Fusion Professional info

These are killer guitars because they are made by the company that became Caparison.
Was just talking about this in another thread.....Jackson realized the "lower end" Japanese Professional models were as good or better than USA models and pulled the plug. So the Japan crew built their own version of awesome,Caparison! That's why Capas have compound radius necks,it's a carry over from the Jackson days. Caparison is a different company now,but still operated by same designers.

If I'm not mistaken I think up 92 was the last year of 'USA like' models before they went to crap.

Re: Jackson Fusion Professional info

I have a '95 Jackson Dinky Reverse Professional, it's a fantastic player. I picked up a tungsten block for the JT-580 trem and it has sustain for days, totally changed the voice of it too...
