Re: Japan got em!!!

Now, I'm going to see how this compete with already exist RG2XXXZ in the market.

In my paper, the 652 kills any 2XXX in every way, but hey, what do I know.
Not everyone thinks the same way as I do.

The 652 is a little more expensive, with the BEM and ash body but it's the best thing Ibanez has released as an RG here since the 3250 imo.

Re: Japan got em!!!

I'm not really thrilled about the ash body, but the spec of 652 is on par with 3XXX.
How is 2XXX going to survive?

The new 2XXXmza models are specd to the 3250s with tz, tv, and and pups. The price difference is exclusively wood and fingerboard.

I think the mij roadcores are better but at that price, the 652s are amazing guitars.

That's very true. If I had to pick one, i'd get the 652 personally. Nicer finish and HH. I have enough HSH Even if I got it though, I'd get 2 Perpetual burns and put one in the bridge and neck

White is great, too and there's just something about shredding and the black or white guitar.

I guess growing up seeing Eric Clapton always with his black strat, BB King with his black ES-347, or Kirk Hammett with either a black or white guitar (Flying Vs, Fernandes superstrat, ESP signature models) I got kind of used to this overplayed stereotype.

Yes, Clapton played his best stuff with a brown sunburst strat on Layla, Les Pauls and SGs with Cream, and BB King had a great red ES-335, and Kirk is sometimes seen with one of his many spooky graphic ESP superstrats, but these legendary guitarists are almost always pictured with something black or white.

There's something about an invisible black or white guitar that screams, "Pay attention to the player, pay attention to the music".
