JC,RG,JS,JEM guitars:Which five would you let go if need be?

Hello guys,
Just want to share a pic of my Japanese ladies. If you were to decide, which 5 would you keep and which 5 should go right away?
Just curious on what other Ibby lovers would do as I may be going down that road soon.

Thanks in advance and cheers to you all!

Simple, keep the five that play/sound the best regardless of model.

I think you already got your answer.

Possibly hold on to a rare model if it's in great shape - if you got space and can store it safely (I guess this also means no complaint from the master of the house).

Re: JC,RG,JS,JEM guitars:Which five would you let go if need be?

I would keep at least one JS..out of the ones you have I would keep the JS1000wh. I would also keep at least one Jem, I'm not a Jem collector and don't know a lot about the different models so I have no strong opinion on which one to keep (maybe keep the floral one?). I would also keep one of the 770s; out of the three you have it would be the 770DXRR.

As for what to get rid of, that's tough. I'm not a big S series fan, so i would probably let those go first. If it were me and I wanted to keep one of them I would probably sell the white one with the single coils before the flame top one.

tough decision. Playability, sound, condition, etc will also factor into it. I'm just going by the pictures obviously. It also depends on whether you want a variety (old vs. new, hard tail vs. floating trem, differing body styles, etc), or if you have a favorite model, time period or characteristic and stick with that. I also depends how much money you need from the sale(s)

Dude he's got a blue sparkle jem. That sucker is rare. Keep it now matter what.

Also that JEM77BFP is hawt. MUST keep that one, and keep the JEM90th.

Other than that, keep whatever you like to play. Those 3 JEMs are hard to find, and they have a really high resale value. Rare stuff costs a lot

American Musical Supply had the blue sparkle jem on blow out for 700 bucks with case right after they were discontinued. By the time I found out they were all gone. Have lusted after them ever since.

Re: JC,RG,JS,JEM guitars:Which five would you let go if need be?

I'd definitely keep:

JS6
JCRG21A
JCRG8570ZPA
JEM77BFP
430SII

I could argure to keep the RGT320QRBB over either the JCRG8570 or 430SII since it's your only neck-thru.

First 5 to go for me would be:

S1540
S1625
S540FMTT
JS1000BP
RG770DX

If I were getting rid of guitars, I'd start with the ones that are not really at all collectible or that there are a million of. That was basically how I picked my bottom 5. I'd start it that way rather than work from the top. If you got through those five and still felt like you should keep going, I'd move onto:

Both RG770FM's (although I'd move the BS finish first)
JEM77BRMR
JS1000WH

If I got through nine of those guitars, I can't imagine needing to move more.

Re: JC,RG,JS,JEM guitars:Which five would you let go if need be?

Keep the J-Customs! But I'm biased because I don't have a J-Custom and I want one so bad... Without being able to try any of them, I would say...
keep: JC RG8570-ZPA, Jem BFP, Jem BRMR, Prestige RGT320QRBB, Prestige S1625 TKS
sell: RG770dxRR, S430Sii, JS1000wh, JS1000BP and the Jem Hoshino Anniv (just because I don't like the finish on that particular Jem)
But as CD said it will also depend on which ones play and sound the best...

Keep the FR8620, that is the coolest guitar of the bunch.

Sell the 3 singlecoil S to me :-)

Re: JC,RG,JS,JEM guitars:Which five would you let go if need be?

I know money can be tight sometimes but unless it's an emergency as a medical issue would be you need to keep all of them. You have an awesome collection so keep it that way.

Re: JC,RG,JS,JEM guitars:Which five would you let go if need be?

Thank you for your replies. I somehow got a clearer mind now.
So far the following are gone:

S540 FMTT
RG 770 RRDX
RGT 320 QRBB ( this was hard but the offer was reasonable and...)

The other RG770's are for sale and the S prestiges 1540, 1625 , JS1000BP might follow.
