Still dialing her in, finished her last night, but I have some tweaks to do... She has a very clean sound, for rhythm & good subtain for leads so far... I like the substainer tooo!

Re: JEM Project: NAT - She's Alive!

I had more time to dial her in last night, I really like the cleaner, crisper tone the Steve Special has, it doesn't mud the notes together while playing. But you can still hit those false harmonics easy too.

The sustainer is whole other beast... its just amazing to site there and vibrato a not for 10 min without he signal dieing out. Its kind of memorizing ... and you can make the whammy sing with notes.. Is it work it, well I think its just another toy to play and experiment with...

Oh yea, I will make that Sustainer White, still working on my options since I can not change the cover since its molded in.

Yes, thats the look I was going for with out the gold hardware... there were 2 proto-types created "Bad Horsie & Neville", Neville was used by Mike Keneally alot during the Fire Garden Tour. If you have the first G3 DVD you will see Neville come out & play ... heheh

There are one or two more... theres one with pyramids that i think its cleared over like a RB...

but yeah, Neville was the nicest one... you should get a rg421 neck so you got the binding, too

Re: JEM Project: NAT - She's Alive!

nice work, really.
seems like you purposely painted black off the wiring cavity cover? and how come the strings are wound backward on the pegs? is it just your way?

Re: JEM Project: NAT - She's Alive!

Yeah there were 3 BH protos with the natural finish. One with pyramids, one with a vine, and one with regular dots. This one looks closest to the one with dots (for very obvious reasons ) which also had a black headstock.

awesome work btw.
