JPM P2 on the bay

It has a 2000 (I assume) serial number but didn't production end in '99 for that model? According to the Ibanez Wiki they did? Or were these some extra 99's that they stamped and released in 2000? Is there a story here that I don't know about?

Yes, don't take the Wiki as the final word on anything. It a good source for reference, but not anywhere near accurate on all specs.

Personal inventory or used? Not seeing it on your used page.

I've never loved the colors on the P2. I say go P1 or go home

Good advice, but getting a P3 on the way home is also permitted if you ask me...

Also good to know is that if you do have your heart set on that colour scheme, I would personally advise you to buy from Rich and to get his platinum set up service. It has changed my mind about what can be done with an electric guitar's set up. I have an 02 JEM from Rich as my main guitar and the action is so low as to be virtually non existent, and the level of sustain is best described as 'boring'; I simply don't have the patience to wait for notes to decay. To find both those attributes in one guitar...

You don't see the 3 or 4 either but that doesn't mean they won't get there someday

I can't make a guitar sustain better than another, that's up to the guitar and the setup it's being played thru. I just make them play well, and feel good if you want the icing.

Re: JPM P2 on the bay

I have a P3 and I like it. For me the P1, 3 and 90 are the ones to get from this series. Love that 90.

Re: JPM P2 on the bay

How did I forget about the 90th? GORGEOUS guitar. Up there with the P1 for me. The P3 I like but it's unfortunate how they all yellowed. P4...ugh. There was actually a pretty nice P4 body on eBay the other day. If it was less expensive it would have made for a neat refinish project.

Re: JPM P2 on the bay

love that 90HAM..

If petrucci still with ibanez, what is his next signature guitar?
I'll think he goes with RGD style body and put his thing on that.

If that's the case, I got a good one, but it do think the set up is such that there is nothing to impede the sustain; action, relief and frets are all sorted and work in such a way as to let the guitar do it's thing

I actually like the P2 better than the P1 best JPM after the 90th IMO.
