Also, i can only find pictures of 450 dx's with sharktooth inlays, whereas the one im buying has dots. Does this mean its a difernt model?

ah you must of won it on evilbay, i placed a bid on that guitar myself, is that the guitar which is silver with a mirror pickguard? if so, it's a nice guitar.

It's not a Korean made guitar, it's Japan made from 2001... £210 for that guitar is a great deal, you sure it isn't a TRS-II trem? nice grab though!

Yeah got it on evilbay. Its the sliver metallic one with that nasty old chip on the horn, not to worry though.

Ah japanese, thank god for that.

The guy said its a TRS, but then it could be a II, ill just check when i get it.

I currently have a 570 which is great, how would you say the quality rates in terms to my current RG? im thinking of maybe selling the 570 and modding the 450.

Hi swirly, personally i'd keep the 570 over the 450,Unless your gonna get an edge for the 450,in which case it'd be the best playin guitar i'd keep

Hmm :/ Well i may consider selling the 570 and using the money from that to pay for some mods on the 450. Maybe get an edge routed in there if i can afford it, and say a paintwork job and pups. Or i maybe just get the 450 and use it to **** around with for a bit then re sell

yeh i agree with Jem7RB MK, RG570 much better with the Edge, if you decide to sell the RG570 or RG450, let me know, i might be interested if i haven't chosen a guitar to buy yet.

With that in mind would you say its worth doing anything to a cheap 450 in terms of modifications? Im not sure what guitar ill sell if any atm, but m considering maybe giving the 450 a paint job plus some pickups, or is it not worth the money on a 4xx series?

I'd spend all my money on the best out of the 2 guitars, in your case the RG570, replace the V pickups if you haven't already, give it a custom pickguard and a nice paint job. I'd just use the RG450 as a trash around guitar. Besides i don't think you can replace a TRS-II trem if it comes with a TRS-II and as for the edge on your 570, why would you replace that anyway? it works like a charm!

My Jem7MBK the black one has/was/is a 450 body :-) Only you can decide what route to go :-)

It's easier with an edge equipped, but no real hardship either way

Your RG450 japanese made - Japanese made RGs have "F" serial numbers, Korean ones begin with "C".
