Just got my RG-ARCH1 J Custom....WOW! - Just plain WOW!!

I recently won an EBay auction for an Ibanez J-Custom RG-ARCH1. *It *was from a Hong Kong seller, so I was a bit nervous. *But...they were extremely professional and very easy to deal with! *They shipped the guitar Friday, and it just arrived to me today! *Now THAT's fast! *

First impression: *I'm blown away! *it's GORGEOUS! *Much, much more beautiful than I'd expected. *Pictures truly do not do this guitar justice! *Now, I'm at work, so I don't have an amp to plug it into. *But, just acoustically, it's got the best resonance of any Ibanez I've ever played (and I've played a LOT of Ibanez'!) *It just sings! *Set up perfectly, the action is the stuff dreams are made of. *It's in incredible shape too , with only 3 VERY minor clear coat dings which are only even visible in the right light. *Overall quality is staggering...much better than the countless JEM/JS/PGM/UV models I've owned, and a definite step above any of the UCEW's I've had. *In fact, I sold a couple of UCEW's to help get the ARCH * *It was a gamble, but...one definitely worth taking! *

Can't wait to get it home tonight!

You will love it they are great guitars!

Best wishes

Whoops!

I keep forgetting to get pics up! *Here are a few

1) *http://members.aol.com/vaijem777/RGARCH1.jpg
* * -it's gorgeous! *Very elegant. *Great finish too, but almost too dark
* * *The only "flaws" on the guitar are three TINY little clear-coat dings. One of front, two on back. *
* * *The good thing is that they're virtually invisible. *

2) *http://members.aol.com/vaijem777/RGARCH2.jpg

3) *http://members.aol.com/vaijem777/RGARCH3.jpg

4) *http://members.aol.com/vaijem777/RGARCHback.jpg
* * -this one didn't come out too well. *The control cavity covers are also mahogany, and are
* * *lacquered over to match the guitar. *Almost like a jewelry box!

Thanks Simon! *

The ARCH definitely fits in nicely, and seems to get along with it's brothers & sisters fairly well so far. *

Well... I am living in Hong Kong and I even never see this model here. I cannot find these kind of good axe in local auction sites. You are so very lucky. I really dunno there is such good guitar here.

Thanks for all of the kind words! *My love affair with Ibanez has definitely stepped up a notch lately...I've been lucky enough to get ahold of some instruments that are definitely above-and-beyond the norm. * *

My ARCH also has the Air Norton(neck) and Tone Zone (bridge) pickups now, but it was shipped to me with a PAF PRO in the neck, which actually sounded decent. *But, I'm actually toying with putting a FRED in the neck position...they just ROCK with mahogany-bodied guitars!
