Just picked up my first 7 (and my first prestige!)

Just picked up an RG1527 (the website says it's Royal Blue but the image looks more like CB to my eyes) for 599. It's got a pair of bright green Dimarzios in, too (EVO and D-Activator), I got it from guitarguitar.co.uk.

That's probably regarded as expensive for a second-hand RG1527 in the states but finding them over here is kinda tough, and when you factor in the Dimarzios it seemed a bargain to me.

It should arrive in a couple of days, I'll give an NGD then.

I wanted to post images of the guitar but it won't let me 'til I've got more posts, it seems.

Re: Just picked up my first 7 (and my first prestige!)

I've never owned a prestige before, I've got an S520EX that I've had since 2006 and stuck a pair of EMGs into (I was young and foolish), and an RGA72QM that I stuck a Crunch Lab and Liquifire set into (a much more wise decision). I love them both, but they're very different beasts to one another.

I'm hoping that I really feel the step up to prestige and it makes up for the trying to get to grips with that low B string!

I'm having the same issue. No pics under 10 posts? I'm sure there's a reason. I feel your pain dude.

That 7 has a great neck profile. Bought a new one in 2008 and loved it. Pop in an AN7 and a Breed Custom= joy

There must be something special about the '08 1527's. My son had one. It was the nicest neck I've ever played on. Far better than my UV was or any of the 7620's/7421's I've played.

Fact. My bandmate and i both have 1527's. Mines an '08 and his is an '07. Not even joking though mine plays wayyyyy better. It just feels right.
