Knots in wood and overall quality of prestige wood

i was wondering has anyone stripped a prestige guitar(better if it is a 1570,anyway doesnt matter)

can you comment on the quality of wood and were there any imperfections on it..like knots in the wood?

just curious

I saw one once stripped with a tiny knot but other then that nothing

I have seen a big knot on stripped RG550 or RG570 from late 80s. If i can find the photos i'll get them here...

But this doenst mean that all prestige ibanez guitars are in good quality, of course.

Little knots wont make much of a difference, even larger ones wont if they're around the edges of the body. Considering how every piece of wood will be different, I dont think it would even be noticeable tonally, or if it is it wouldnt make a big difference.
