So I got this back in Feb or March, I don't remember, but I was on the hunt for the perfect guitar with some of the features I was looking for: reverse headstock, maple neck, seven string, and hard tail or string thru bridge. I got 2 of the 4 things I was looking for and am really happy with my purchase.
So I present ya'll the B.C. Rich Zoltan Bathory signature model
I just love the ugliness of the quilted body!
Right here you can see where the finished portion and the oiled part of the neck separate each other.
Better shot of the grain
The neck is a little thicker than a "standard thin" but not uncomfortable. The pickups are quite articulate, they're Rockfield Mafia pickups and I was quite surprised at how well they sounded (think Megadeth Endgame sound). The pickups are a little bass heavy, but that's easily remedied. They're also coil split and you can get some really nice clean tones from them.
It also has a real Floyd Rose which is my first real one and it's quite nice. I was surprised.
I just wish this guitar had the reverse jack like my Universe
:edit: Also the frets remind me of how my Universe was when I first got it. Not too big and not too small, just right. I do with they were stainless steel though, that would've been nice.
