Lo Pro Edge 7

What is the value of a Lo Pro Edge 7 in very good condition? I have looked on the Bay, but there aren't any current or completed listings to help judge what these are worth. Anyone know?

Re: Lo Pro Edge 7

the brand new ones from rich are $300 for cosmo and black and $315 for chrome so my guess would be between $220 and $270 depending on the condition and color

And worth every penny if it's in good condition!

Re: Lo Pro Edge 7

That would be far from a direct replacement... it won't fit the routed cavity, and there might be an issue with the point of intonation (though I'm not 100 percent on that point).

Just the route hangs it all up in a lo-pro in edge pro route...

Re: Lo Pro Edge 7

i wouldnt put a lo-pro in a 1527. i 100% love the lo-pro (way more than the edge pro) but to be honest, theyre about the same trem. neither is better than the other unless you add locking studs to one of them

Re: Lo Pro Edge 7

never got flutter from factory setup on my RG1527.
i've added locking studs to my Edge Pro7 and now it's amazing.

Re: Lo Pro Edge 7

Locking stud mod is a must in my opinion, and shared by most involved.
It really shores things up.
With that done, it really shows that the EdgePro is a perfectly good bridge series.
At this point, I'm using them on two 1527s, as well as a 7VWH - and soon to modify a store-special 350 (mahogany body) with an EdgePro (fairly direct swap with the Edge III, except that I'm going all the way with Edge-series inserts and - of course - locking studs).

Fact is, for me, once I put one of my handrests over these various bridges I have (LoPros, EdgePros, Edges) that sort of levels the playing field - as long as the knife edges are to spec (or adjusted to spec =]) and there are locking studs involved.
