looking for options on colors and hardware.

I just finished putting carbon fiber on my RG550.

I dont know how I feel about the white pick guard, that being said the headstock has white lettering, so I am on the fence. People have mentioned that a carbon fiber guard would be cool; I think some contrast would be nice however.

-Opinions on pick guard color
-I am not crazy about the plastic 'Strat' knobs. Any suggestions for aftermarket knobs (brand and color)
-I am looking for high quality strap locks. Who has the best now?

Thanks for any suggestions!

Re: looking for options on colors and hardware.

dont they make a lighter silver looking carbon fiber?
that would be awesome for the pickguard.
or a black mirror guard.
id get a new full cosmo (black chrome) set from rich.
and maybe red pickup with metal red knobs

Re: looking for options on colors and hardware.

Personally, I'd put a vintage-brushed Lo Pro and matching hardware on it, and Prestige collet knobs. CF kinda brings a high tech, mechanical vibe and I think those would compliment it. I like a clear PG on a 570, which would look sick if this was one, but probably not so much over the top routs. Black mirror, maybe.

Re: looking for options on colors and hardware.

Polish the Edge and other hardware with Auto-sol or similar metal polish to give it a near new chrome look and finish. save money buying new gear with a few hours work.

I still think CF guard would be awesome. I personally like the black strat knobs, but maybe matching chrome knobs would be nice.

Schaller strap locks are still good in my book.
