Picked up this beautiful '96 Japanese RG570 about a month ago. Finish is black pearl. Lovely sparkle! I have an Evolution DP159 in the bridge atm (not shown in some pictures). I plan on swapping out all the pickups by this Winter.
This is my first Ibanez, and I'm already in love. I wouldn't trade this guitar for anything in the world (except a Caparison Horus, maybe :P)
The entire guitar is in FLAWLESS, I repeat, FLAWLESS condition. There is one small, small ding on the lower horn, and the back cavity plate has a scratch on it, but other than that, there's nothing! Try even spotting the ding-it's miniscule! This guitar is a friggin' 10/10 in terms of condition. Frets are soooo nice too!
I'm really happy with this guitar-it sings like none other. I sold my Jacksons for this baby! Not to mention...the sparkle finish is awesome. Cosmo hardware? Hells yes. I did need to have some work done on the edge's high E saddle because it was a bit worn out from the string, but a little sanding fixed the problem, but other than that, this thing has been flawless. Never goes out of tune either!
I'm thinking about putting a pickgaurd on it-opinions? Would it be a good idea? I'd have to drill my own holes...would it change the sound a whole lot? For better or for worse? What color combination would work well with the guitar?
Or maybe I should just leave it bone stock? It's awesome as it is (although I'd love sharkfin inlays)
