as i noticed most of the people divide the guitar makers for it's genares..
Jackson guitars are mostly for metal with huge amounts of gain.
Fender are actually kinda for everything but not the extreme music styles.
Gibson are for metal but with lower gain level and more bass/fat sound.
and so on...
my question is what type of music ibanez stands for?
i've got RG270 so it kinda sucks and it's hard to tell..
but those high end Ibanez guitars what are their purpose?
actually iv'e noticed that ibanez is very versatile (even my RG270)
but i've just wanted to ask your opinion..
thanx dudes
now i'm sure Ibanez Are the best 8)
I think the people in Israel have a soft spot for America and American companies in general. I think it may only seem like anti-Ibanez sentiment, when it may more likely be pro-Gibson and Fender.
Maybe
hey,
I think Ibanez could fit in to any of those catagories because they have different guitars for different purpose's, while most of those 'other' companies are one trick ponies!!! ...Just my 2 cents...
Who cares what anyone says. When I'm talking about my Ibe's, and someone goes "Dude, those are planks of junk. You gotta get yourself a Les Paul. Now that's a real guitar!" I usually sarcastically respond with "Oh crap, you're right. I better sell all my guitars and get Gibsons just because you told me to!"
I don't care how much someone likes pickles on their hamburger, I always order mine with no pickles, and no one will ever talk me into liking pickles.
On the bright side, if Ibanez's are less popular there, they probably sell for a lot less. Take advantage of that.

I would say that people who like ONLY Fender and Gibson are people that cannot think for themselves. They are just going along with popular opinion. Just about every guitar I've played has it's own vibe and is cool in it's own way. So basicly it's not about people on this forum being right and everyone else being wrong. It's just a fact that many many people are sheep and they simply follow the crowd and regurgitate what they hear others say.
What you need to do is get yourself an Evo, or a TZ for your RG. Then maybe a Kick @ss stack of some kind. Go to your local amateur night and get onstage with someone who is playing a "cool" fender strat (the more vintage the better . Then crank up and blow them off the freakin stage.
My friend plays an RG in a punk band and sounds great with it. I play all sorts of stuff with mine, from blues to thrash. Seems pretty versatile to me.

When I think of Ibanez, I think of Shred/ any kind of lead guitar playing. I live in east Tennessee, and I've put up with some crap about my Ibanez's as well. Most people around where are either hard core Gibson, Fender, or Jackson/Charvel/ and or ESP. One Jackson/ESP guy I know actually kinda scoft at my JEM7V when I first got it. Mainly, people are USA made guitars only all the way, around here. Oh well, I dont really care, because I privatly know that my guitars smoke theirs
