Maple boarded premiums

So, with these two babies coming out

What are the chances of them making a premium S series with a maple fretboard? Add a reverse headstock to that and it'll be one of my dream ibbies!

Re: Maple boarded premiums

Those are very nice. Love me some maple fingerboards. But those particular tops look a bit weird.

Re: Maple boarded premiums

I hate you IBANEZ!

The only thing tho make it more perfect would be Original Edge Bridge and some nice Breed, Evo or PAF Pro pickups..........

I had better start saving up for this as it will have to be next years purchase.

I wonder if an OE/LP would fit in the EZ2 route????

That would certainly make me want one more.

Re: Maple boarded premiums

I really wish they made more S premiums. I am glad to see that they produced the current 2 models, but Black bores me and the dark mahogany one looks like furniture to me so I can not live with those. If they made them in the same colors as these I would own one immediately.

Re: Maple boarded premiums

No, it needs some work. There was a guy that replaced the Edge Zero in a J-Custom earlier this year. There's a thread in the tech section.

No chance. Those EZII routes are REALLY small!

Bummer.....I kinda figured. Wouldn't it be cool to drop a black OE into a new RG1XXV???

That it would! It's still look pretty good if you routed slowly (and didn't chip any wood or paint). Probably wouldn't be too hard. Radius might be off though.

The radius wouldn't be off enough to make a noticeable difference. And even if it did, it's nothing some shims couldn't resolve.
