In the Market for a new Ibby suggestions?

This will be my second Ibby purchase next to my 93 Universe, so I wanted something a little different.

I found the Ibanez RGR421EXFM to be really cool. I really want a reverse headstock and it doesn't matter if it's a floating trem or a fixed bridge, but from what I see there's not much to choose from.

I'm more of a traditional "strat" body shape kinda guy so the icemans are out, but what do ya'll know that I haven't figured out yet?

*Just want a real nice reasonably priced Ibby with a reversed headstock*

Zactly. Cannot go wrong with a PGM301. If you need a whammy, get the reissue 300.

*ahem* reasonably priced

I'd love to own a PGM, cause of the reverse headstock and maple neck, but that's not in the price range I'm wanting to spend at the moment.

I have the feeling I'm outta luck.

You may be. However if you are really stuck on having a reverse headstock, check out other brands like Jackson. I would just get a normal headstock ibby though

I looked at Jackson and when they reverse the headstock, it points up to high for me. I think ESP does it right like the Kirk Hammett model for a pointy type headstock.

Something about an Ibanez headstock reversed that looks RAWKING!!! lol (know what I mean?)

Guess maybe I can check the used sector.

How about this model: RGR420ex

Or RGR320ex

Much better but hard to find would be RGR580

Another great one would be RG565

Re: In the Market for a new Ibby suggestions?

I have both an RG565 and an RGR4EXFMBBS--since 565's are hard to come by and won't be "reasonably priced" I can definitely recommend the RGR4. I got one CHEAP online because the original owner had some problems with it (bridge pickup didn't work, tuning instability). I got it for under $200 US, fixed the loose wiring, tightened the tuners, re-strung it, and now have a REALLY NICE fixed-bridge RGR. I eventually took out the stock EMG-esque pickups and replaced them with Dimarzio Crunch Lab/Liquifire and now this axe burns. If you check out the "Reviews" section and look for these pickups, that's the guitar you're hearing in my reviews.

Cheers,

Race
