Marlique Deluxe Guitars

Well, I finally got another electric guitar after selling my others over 2 years ago... had a budget of about £400 so didnt know what to get... in the end I settled for this:

It's a Marlique Deluxe that I bought for £375 from http://www.henleyguitars.co.uk/.

It's basically mahogony body with a maple veneer and Telstra pickups. What is so special about it? It's hand built in Indonesia - yep - no mass produced factory guitar here!

Build quality is very good - pickups are pretty good too.

All in all, not bad for a cheap guitar

Oh, and it has a PRS headstock which looks nice

VERY well... reminds me of an RG2820
Very low action with no buzz - sounds good too

Re: Marlique Deluxe Guitars

damn! beatiful!
but they dont use regular/original mahogany... they use nyatoh.
from what i know... nyatoh sound's close to mahogany.
but i never try.
WildWayz, how is the sound? or anyone have try nyatoh guitar body?

sounds very nice - only been playing it through my PC tho - but the sounds are very much like my old 2820/3120.

Re: Marlique Deluxe Guitars

If I had any use for a hardtail then I'd be tempted by one of these

Re: Marlique Deluxe Guitars

Just an update on the guitar...
Things weren't so rosie after all.
After about 6 months of play, the guitar severely buzzes out on the E and A strings. It appears the nut was over cut and the strings wore down. I have to get a replacement nut now. This was after no more than 12 hours play time!
