marty friedman sig!!! finally!

http://www.wireimage.com/GalleryList...&qckv=n&nbc1=1
3 days old news:
this stinking website asks 10 bucks a month to see their pictures in full size.
but the thumb nails are good enough to show it's a blue SZ.

Re: marty friedman sig!!! finally!

Actually i'm mildly surprised by this news. Is there a market for a friedman sig model? Not having a go at the guy or anything, but i wasn't aware that he was that popular.

Re: marty friedman sig!!! finally!

He's not very popular, but any good guitarist knows that hes a great guitarist. So it's probably a nice guitar. I'd like to play one, but I don't think there is much market for it since he's not as popular as most Ibanez endorsee's.

Awesome. Marty Friedman has always been one of my favorite guitarists. It's nice to see that he's been with Ibanez and finally a sig model - cool.

Re: marty friedman sig!!! finally!

i regard him as a very good guitarist, not a great but still worthy (well certainly more worthy than the likes of Kirk Hammett) of a sig. I just think that it's a few years too late, and his popularity has waned massively of late. And i was less than impressed with his playing on "Hebi-meta-san", his TV show on late night Japanese telly. Very sloppy (or lazy, but either way) and not what i have come to expect from a player of his calibre.
Still they are nice guitars, i just wonder how they are gonna price them.

Re: marty friedman sig!!! finally!

he's famous in japan. he lives in japan and speaks japanese well. he also just announced tour dates in japan to promote the guitar.
his articulate and glamourous playing style goes better in asia than in US.
what's big here in US, detuned rough metal is not as popular overseas, like say, slipknot.

I always liked him. Liked some of the cacophony and I loved his work with Megadeth. he rocks live as well.

i am a great fan of marty, but he just went way too much overboard with his oriental ting-tong.
