Mason Bernard guitars - Anybody have any info

I was thinking about picking up a Mason Bernard guitar and was wondering if you guys knew anything about them. I know that they were made by Bernie Rico in the late 80's but I was hoping to get a little more info. Value, playability, and whats the going rate for one? Thanks in advance. Billy *

I read something on Harmony Central about this guitar.
Don't know if this link is useful for you:

Mason Bernard guitars

After Bernie Rico sold the rights to the B.C. Rich name, he started manufacturing guitars under the Mason Bernard brand. These were a very limited production run, with only a few people knowing about them.

From what I understand, the goal with MB guitars was to make a return to the hand-crafted excellence of the early B.C. Rich guitars. Of the three I've seen/played, they play close to the early U.S. Gunslingers or ESP M2s.

The only notable MB players were Tony MacAlpine and Mitch Perry (of MSG/ Edgar Winter). Their aftermarket value seems to parallel the US Gunslingers.
