Meshuggah 8 string

Does anybody have pics of the Ibanez Meshuggah 8-string? I've only seen the video where Marten demonstrates it for a French magazine-tv show-whatever.
Please post them!

Re: Meshuggah 8 string

Thanks everyone! I've already seen these pics. I was wondering if there were any showcase pictures of this guitar (like the pics of the Ibanez 8string prototype at Namm or the Nevborn Meshuggah 8string). Thanks anyway!

Re: Meshuggah 8 string

I have a pic of an Ibanez 8-string from this year's NAMM. Not sure if this is the Meshuggah model though as it was behind a glass case!

No that was just Ibanez's 8 string prototype from LACS.

Re: Meshuggah 8 string

Indeed. But a 30-inch scale on a guitar is too much for me to play anything else but chugga chugga on. Found out once I tried an MM OLP "30 baritone. If it's 8-string, I think I'd go with a "28-"25.5 fanned fret design.

I love tight strings. I never do any lead work.

Edit: Then again I AM a vocalist and a guitarist in my time off.

While I too like tight strings, I've found out lately that rhythm-shredding can be hard when you're playing on very tight strings, not to mention a larger scale, which a "30 scale undoubtly brings. That, along with the fact that I play leads, makes me prioritize playability over relentlessly optimum string tension and articulation. (I do like the nice ring a baritone scale has to it, though)

Re: Meshuggah 8 string

well I can barely play 6 let alone 8 LOL

an my personal opinion on the 8 pic above is, it looks cheap and crappy.. I mean the finish looks horrible and its boring.. But I guess metal heads dont want florals, and flashy stuff..

Black def. makes it sound heavier..

Come on, thats a borderline stupid comment. It's a flat black finish, and since it's seen quite a lot on the tour, I'd imagine its a bit scarred, but who cares?

I do not like the look of flat black. Flat black is the primer put on before the real paint goes on. LOL looks like it was taken prematurly from the Ibanez paint booth..

And I was never a fan of single humbucker equipped guitars, no versatility.

Again my opinion, like it or not im entitled to it.
