Messuggah 8 string ? scale ? and strings?

Anyone know the spec of Frederick's 8 string guitar? The scale and the string guages?

32'scale

strings from 9-7* I don't remember. 70 or 72

there was some demo movie with one of the guitarists talking about their Ibanez 8strings. If I will find it I will put it here

32" !

My arm would get sore from reaching the first fretts ;p

That explains why the necks sortof look narrow (for an 8 anyway).

.007...man, the sounds must be thin on that, is it possible to do an 8 string on the 25.5 scale?

yeah, but rusty is the 23.5-25.5 fanned frets. But my bridge is straight up not like the angle one... (dont know what to call them ,haha).


any pics of some more 8 strings?

Rusty has an ibanez 8 without the fanned (I think), I dont know if its 25.5 .

this would be it. But, it s way too far out of reach for 8 string tremolo or floyde unit though, thats too bad .

as far as i've heard the guitarists in meshuggah don't know alot about there own gear.

but i am 99% sure their 8 strings are 30"
